Alley Cat bicycle races have no set course, rather riders must choose their own path through a list of checkpoints, completing challenges at each, before returning to finish. My interest in organizing these races was their artistic potential as relational forms. Art is a function towards our spiritual needs for meaning and specialness in our lives. When we Alley Cat together we celebrate deep connection to place and community. This is a means toward health, fulfillment of spirit.
